The Tangerines have had their last three home games against Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool postponed due to frozen pitch though the board rejected suggestions that undersoil heating be installed. However with the temperatures slowly thawing, Blackpool fans will be optimistic that the game against Birmingham will be played on schedule on January 4.


Blackpool’s fairytale season continued last weekend as they registered a comfortable 2-0 win over Sunderland to climb to eighth in the league table. DJ Campbell scored a brace in the second half to help his side collect all three points from the game much to the delight of manager Ian Holloway.


Birmingham though will be confident of overturning their poor form following an excellent performance against Manchester United last weekend. Though the Blues were fortunate in equalizing late in the game, they created decent chances throughout the game and provided a stern test for the United defense.
