Arsenal vs Chelsea Live

Monday 27th December 20:00 GMT
Chelsea will be itching to show that they are back to their best with a comfortable victory over Arsenal when the two teams meet on Monday. The Blues are without a win in their last five games, a disappointing run of form that has seen them slip down from the top of the table to fourth. However they showed signs of returning to their best form after an excellent second half display against Tottenham in their last match, coming back from a goal down to collect a point from the game.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti expressed his confidence that his side will now return to their winning ways, starting with all three points against Arsenal on Monday. Chelsea have recovered from their injury crisis with Frank Lampard, John Terry and Didier Drogba all returning to full fitness though Jose Bosingwa, Alex, Yury Zhirkov and Yossi Benayoun remain sidelined.

Arsenal on the other hand will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Manchester United from their last match and show that they should be considered genuine title contenders this season by snapping out of a five game losing streak against the Blues.

The Gunners have already tasted defeat against the Blues early this season and both Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas have stated that they should perform better against strong teams if they want to end their wait for a league title this season.
